Veteran Benefits Guide (VBG) Partners with U.S. Department of Defense’s Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) to Provide Employment Opportunities to Military Families

July 24, 2023

Las Vegas, Nevada – Veteran Benefits Guide (VBG) today announced its partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP), which connects military spouses with hundreds of employers who commit to recruit, hire, promote and retain military spouses.

“Supporting our military servicemember and veteran community is the central focus of VBG’s mission,” said Josh Smith, Founder and CEO of Veteran Benefits Guide. “We are thrilled to join forces with MSEP to provide employment opportunities to military spouses and in turn, have the ability to tap their diverse set of talent and skills to advance our mission.”

Since its inception in 2011, more than 250,000military spouses have been hired by MSEP employers. VBG’s participation in the program brings the number of MSEP partner employers to more than 660.

At VBG, already more than 84 percent of the company’s approximately 200 full-time employees are either veterans, or family members and spouses of a veteran. That includes the 5 percent of the VBG team who are military spouses. Partnering with MSEP will give VBG the opportunity to focus hiring efforts among military spouses and fill more open positions with members of this community.

The U.S. Department of Defense established the Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program to provide education and career assistance to military spouses worldwide, offering free comprehensive resources and tools designed to help spouses meet their career and education goals. Resources include free career coaching services, the My Career Advancement Account scholarship for eligible spouses, and the Military Spouse Transition Program, or MySTeP.
