Veteran Benefits Guide Announces Sponsorship of 2023 Military Influencer Conference

Las Vegas (November 6, 2023) – Veteran Benefits Guide (VBG), which helps Veterans across the U.S. navigate the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) disability compensation benefits process, today announced that it will sponsor the 2023 Military Influencer Conference (MIC), an event that brings together influential leaders, transitioning service members, executives, entrepreneurs and brands in the military space. This year’s conference will take place at Resorts World Las Vegas from November 7 to 10, ahead of Veterans Day.

Led by Army Veteran, founder, and director Curtez Riggs, MIC aims to bridge the gaps between entrepreneurship, current events, and entertainment. In its sixth year, MIC will offer more than 100 sessions, including 100+ partners and 1000+ attendees covering eight tracks: Culture & Advocacy, Content Creation, Impact, Inclusion, Innovation, Inspiration, Transition & Hiring, and Wellness. Other notable events include fireside chats with key members of the military community, MIC’s Comedy Night, brand activation, and annual supplier diversity tradeshow.

As part of its sponsorship, VBG will host the following activities:

Lunch & Learn Session on “Reinventing Your VA Disability Rating: Options, Guidance & Results– On Thursday, November 9 from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., Alex Aldrich, VBG’s Community Relations Manager, will host a Lunch & Learn session for conference attendees in Rose Meeting Room 1. The session will discuss the VA disability benefits rating process, including the options, roadblocks, ins and outs, and which strategy may be best for your situation as it relates to VA disability compensation benefits. Attendees can expect to receive a more in-depth understanding of the different requirements and qualifications for filing, claim types, how they differ, which type may be most beneficial to achieving the most accurate disability rating, along with some key information regarding VBG’s processes and all of the options available to assist with VA disability compensation claims. Participants will also receive an info sheet detailing VBG’s process. Q&A session will start following the presentation, as time allows, for any questions.

Company Booth – On Wednesday, November 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday, November 9 and Friday, November 10 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., VBG will have a company booth set up and will be giving away two lower-bowl tickets to the Vegas Golden Knights (VGK) hockey team Military Appreciation Knight Game on November 10. VBG team members will also be on hand to provide more information about VBG’s services that offer Veterans a guided, straightforward path to obtaining the VA disability benefits they have earned.

Community Night – On Thursday, November 9 at 6 p.m., VBG Chief Marketing Officer Lisa Kalkes will welcome attendees to the conference and announce the winner of the two lower-bowl tickets to the Vegas Golden Knights (VGK) hockey team Military Appreciation Knight Game on November 10.
