Veteran Benefits Guide Chief Operating Officer Donato Clay Named Vegas Inc. 40 Under 40 Honoree

Clay’s active engagement in the Southern Nevada community and success driving sustainable growth at VBG earned him a spot on the list that honors 40 leaders of Las Vegas under the age of 40.

Las Vegas (March 29, 2024) – Veteran Benefits Guide (VBG) Chief Operating Officer (COO) Donato Clay today was named to Vegas Inc.’s 40 Under 40 list honoring Las Vegas leaders under the age of 40 charting the city’s future.

Clay’s active engagement in the Southern Nevada community and success driving sustainable growth at VBG in support of America’s Veterans earned him a spot on this year’s list. As a proud U.S. Army Veteran who brings years of distinguished military service and private sector experience to the role, Clay has strengthened VBG’s ability to help Veterans across the U.S. navigate the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) disability compensation benefits process.

“I’m honored to be part of a list with so many special Las Vegans driving change in our community,” said Clay. “It is incredibly rewarding giving back to the city I call home. Whether through my work serving America’s Veterans with VBG or my involvement with non-profits benefitting the Southern Nevada community, I consider myself fortunate to have a platform that allows me to make a difference.”

Through his role as COO at VBG, Clay is a member of the Southern Nevada Veteran Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he sits on the board of Mass Liberation, a national non-profit organization that is committed to educating and empowering returning citizens with holistic, evidence-based interventions while engaging all communities to emancipate America from mass incarceration. He is also a board member of the national non-profit Pin-Ups for Vets, which raises funds to improve Veterans' healthcare, donates to VA hospitals for medical equipment and program expansion, and improves the quality of life through personal bedside visits to ill Veterans across the United States.

“VBG is proud to have Donato Clay representing us in the Las Vegas community,” said VBG co-Founder and CEO Josh Smith. “Each and every day, we see how Donato’s commitment to uplifting those around him manifests itself inside and outside of VBG. We are pleased he has been recognized with a listing on 40 Under 40.”

Vegas Inc.’s 40 Under 40 awards honors Las Vegans across all industries, including arts and entertainment, hospitality and nightlife, gaming, philanthropy, health care, law, and more. Now in its 24th year, the award is one of Las Vegas’ most anticipated and celebrated recognitions.
